Merton Park

Welcome to Met Engage,

We're transforming the Met to become a service that truly delivers for you.

Through our new platform Met Engage you can get to know your local officers, help shape how we police your local area and have direct access to key information and advice.

This isn't just a platform for us to tell you what we're doing in your area, it's an opportunity for you to tell us what's concerning you most so we can take action on the things that truly matter to you.

Merton Park Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

To contact to your team about local policing issues, email us at MertonPark@contact.metengage.co.uk or pick an officer to email below. (Please do not use this contact method to report crime, in an emergency always call 999 or you can report crime online at www.met.police.uk or dial 101).

Burglary

Issued 04 November 2025

PCSO's have been completing re-assurance and crime prevention patrols to areas where there have been burglaries on the ward.
Offence number remains consistent, a 3.1% increase year on year, which equates to 1 additional burglary over the last 12 months compared to the previous 3 months.

Local officers will conduct enquiries around offences, looking for any evidential leads such as CCTV and analysing offences to see if any linked series are occurring with a similar pattern.

We are also setting up an operation in the local area around targeting burglary and motor vehicle crime, if you notice any suspicious behaviours please also report these to us so we can make the best use of our resources and focus on those looking to commit crime.

Anti-social behaviour in parks and open spaces

Issued 04 November 2025

Officers will continue to patrol parks and open spaces where there are higher levels of reported anti-social behaviour, including rowdy and inconsiderate behaviour and drug use.
This can typically increase around the autumn and early winter period before the new year
If there are any instances of anti-social behaviour please report them so we are aware of locations and dates and times of incidents occurring so that patrols can be best targeted and policing powers can be utilised to target any regular offenders
